I’m fairly new to twitter. I’ve noticed how some people retweet other peoples posts whilst replying at the same time,

I know how to tweet nut when I am in a discussion room (#nowwatching #love ect ect) I cannot see what I just posted? Why is that or am I doing something wrong?
It might take some time for your tweet to show up in the timeline.
Or you can just refresh the page (F5).

I just started "tweeting" on twitter and I’m not really sure. Like when I retweet something a friend posted I can’t say anything back to it. Do you have to be tagged in a tweet to reply and RT it? I’m sooo confused by all this.

Maybe it’s because I need to know someone else with Twitter accounts that care what I say, but no one comments and I don’t see that anyone responds to my comments to them.
What is the point? What am I doing wrong?
There IS no point, other than satisfying your urge to text quick short notes.
