I got a twitter account just so i could follow some of my favorite people (which i know is stupid but isn’t that what twitter is all about?). So anyways, like i have no idea how to use it. i know how to tweet stuff but i don’t get how to tweet someone else. like leave a comment on their page? is that even possible on twitter? I know how to reply to someone else’s post, but like do they see that reply? Does it like show the people that replied to their message?
I just want to know how to like communicate with other people. Please help me!!!

I’ve got a Blackberry Curve 8520, and want to know how to log out of these Twitter applications:

Seesmic Blackberry

Both applications are not showing any icon for tweets on the homepage, but when I go into them (through downloads) I am still logged into Twitter. Unlike the Twitter for Blackberry application, which I do not like using, I cannot see any option to logging out of Twitter. Please help!

I have some offensive tweets I’d like to delete from someone I was following on twitter but I can’t figure out how to do it. I’m not sure if it’s even possible. Is there a way to delete a tweet from someone if not then I’m closing my twitter account. If there is a way to delete a tweet twitter makes it difficult.

You can’t delete other people’s tweets, to delete your own you move your mouse over the tweet and click the bin and the top right hand corner. You can block people by going on to their page and clicking the settings thing beside the lists and clicking block. The person wont be allowed on your page or tweet and dm you.

As an overweight and sedentary Republican, I’m a bit challenged in the technology department and so I marvel at Sarah and Paris’s ability to keep their informative missives coming despite harsh circumstances or geographical distance. (I also marvel at all things relating to Sarah and Paris!)

I don’t marvel at anything relating to Palin. It must have been difficult to "twit" when she was busy with her hypocritical "spiritual guidance for the nation rally" with Beck. Really, though, from reading some of the "twits" Palin has written, they don’t seem to require much thought and she does only speak for a few minutes at these public affairs. You can "refudiate" me if you want.

Paris Hilton, unlike Palin, is SELF destructive. Hilton will lose her glow if she doesn’t change her ways. Hilton doesn’t really need to be on Twitter until she’s clean and has something to say. She has so much going for her, I really don’t like to see her throw her life away. What a horrible role model she is.

so there is this guy i like, and he told me he likes me to and just before i saw he wrote something on his twitter about there not being enough of "" type of girls (he descried the type) as a twitter reply to a female friend after saying she was good looking and should have lots of boys whod like her, but she is a friend, so that didnt bother me when he said that too her. and then friend said something about finding them girls and he said he didnt think anyone would be that desperate to be with him. the thing is, he said he liked me and we arent together but a few weeks ago he said he wanted me as his gf (we have to wait to see each other cos im in another state right now so we havent had a chance to date) he said a few days ago he wanted to kiss me and he has for a long time, and other sweet things, calls me babe or beautiful. i mean he said this on a twitter and he doesnt know i seen it, so i dont wanna ask him about, how awkward …just seeing him write that makes me think he doesnt like me and he wants THAT type of girl. today he said ‘love you’ to me. do you think he was just being a guy and that iam just being silly or what? dont know just feels like hes getting sick of me cos one day hes soo sweet to me and the next he doesnt speak, but my mate told me he probably does that because he doesn’t want to seem clingy (and i know hes busy!) so what do you think? am i just over thinking this and freaking our for no reason? im kinda new to guys and dating so i wouldn’t know. help and sorry for making this long.

well he might not want to say anything to his friends since you two aren’t dating yet. but he probably really does love you. He also said that he doesn’t think anyone would be desperate enough to be with him,so he’s technically turning down that offer if you think about it. remember, guys can joke a lot about these things so don’t take everything to personally. just see how things go when you see him=)

I’m fairly new to twitter. I’ve noticed how some people retweet other peoples posts whilst replying at the same time,

e.g: ‘Ooh that sounds cool! RT @example123 I’m going to the zoo’

What is the correct way of doing it? Is it the same as the example I have just given above – Start with your reply, then put ‘RT’ then the persons name and tweet you’re replying to?

You copy and paste the original tweet and send it out. To give credit to the original person, users usually put “RT” plus the originator’s username at the beginning of the tweet.

I just started "tweeting" on twitter and I’m not really sure. Like when I retweet something a friend posted I can’t say anything back to it. Do you have to be tagged in a tweet to reply and RT it? I’m sooo confused by all this.

Nope I update mine via text from my phone and I haven’t gotten any charges for internet, cause I don;t have internet in my plan either. I just send my status to 40404 and counts as a text.

Two things.

1. Luck – JB can only see so many messages because he’s probably getting millions.
2. The nature of your tweets -See what the other people that he’s followed tweet when they mention him (@justinbieber). A lot of the people he retweets are charming or selfless, and he doesn’t tend to follow those that sound desperate.

So I have this neighbor named Nicole. She`s 17 years old I think. She`s good friends with this guy named Alex. He`s 18 years old. Alex is really an amazing guy. He`s really sweet and stuff. He`s even the lead singer in his band. I`m actually a big fan of his band. Recently, there has been rumors going around that Alex is dating Nicole. On twitter Alex and Nicole are even flirting sometimes. Some fans of Alex`s band were even @replying Nicole to stop flirting with Alex. Nicole just said "I love how people tell me what not to tweet. How about you go **** yourself? Okay thanks." I don`t about you guys but she just comes off as b*tchy to me. There are even pictures going around of Alex and Nicole like they were about to kiss. They even hold hands when they`re together. Alex`s bandmates were even teasing Alex about Nicole while they were on stage playing for a show.Yesterday, me and my friend even bumped into her while we were walking outside my house. My friend jokingly asked Nicole how it was like f*cking Alex. It was clearly just a joke. I can`t believe she just walked past us and ignored us. I always see Alex drive up to Nicole`s house and who knows what they could be doing there. It just really pisses me off that a really nice guy like Alex would even be friends with that monster. Wow. Your insisting that she is a monster when you yourself said you don’t know her. That is pretty much saying ‘I really don’t know this person but i’ll judge them on selective information and make them out to be who i want them to be no matter how they really are.’
Switching places for a moment can you imagine how horrible it would feel if someone said you were fucking around with someone in public? Joke or no joke that would have hurt anybody especially if your being harassed on a daily basis because of a RUMOR. See that…Rumor. Definition of a rumor "an unverified account or explanation of events circulating from person to person and pertaining to an object, event, or issue in public concern".
I think this Nicole is just trying to shut out all the mean people who want to make her miserable just because she looks a certain way or don’t like their own life’s and want to bully others.
Just because they flirt around doesn’t mean they’re together, how many times have you flirted with your friends and was serious?
Do you think it’s okay to watch or treat her this way just because she may or may not be dating someone you like? Think of it this way, would you be proud to show Alex how you act alone with her?…Could you look him in the eye and say you like seeing his friend suffer?
And from the way your friend acted toward her, do you think if you were in her position your friend wouldn’t talk to you the same way? Your friend seemed like a possessive type of fan of Alex…
I think you need to see past silly little things as who’s dating who and focus on YOUR life and how to make yourself happy not how to make others miserable. Have some courage and tell this Alex the way YOU feel. Not how others see it should be or that Alex is not for this person.
You can still change this situation from bad to good. Try actually hanging out with Nicole,even if your friends don’t like it, and maybe you’ll find you could be best friends. You never know, maybe you will become friends with Alex because you ACTUALLY are a good person.
But word of advice: Avoid the rumor subject, don’t bring it up, and keep all negative comments to yourself. Stay calm.

In order to do that, you must be following them an they must be following you back.

Click home.

on the right hand side of the page you should see this

click direct messages, on the drop down where ist says " send____ a direct message"
select the person you want to message. any thing that is sent in a DM (direct message) is private. then click send and your done.

I honestly think she’s being too selfish. She’s trying to compete for a spot on the Warped Tour, which, by the way, will never happen, but not that’s not it. She’s been hanging with Alex Gaskarth, who has a f**king GIRLFRIEND, and when Alex said he likes girls with highlights, a couple days later, she got highlights. She’s been tweeting to her fans repeatedly that she’s doing a duet with ATL, and lately, I’ve seen 9 year old Demi fans on here who can’t name a single ATL song yet claim to be "fans."

Ever since she did a duet with We The Kings last year, 11 year old girls have showed up at WTK’s concerts, yelling "Where’s Demi?", etc. I think the same thing will happen to All Time Low. Demi is flirting with Alex, that’s for sure, but in doing so, she’s also giving ATL fake kid fans, which is the last thing that band needs.

I think she’s using ATL and Alex for fame, older fans, and a future as an alternative singer…and a spot on the Warped Tour.

We’re not talking about what Demi gains here, since obviously she gains alot. But All Time Low and Alex Gaskarth is gonna suffer alot for this…what do you think?
I’m a huge ATL fan so obviously I care.
If she wants to be a successful singer, she needs to work for it. Quit Disney, get a real band, lose her "kid" image, compete in the Battle of the Bands and not through connections, for a spot on the Warped tour, etc. If she does it that way, I don’t have a problem. But using ATL for her advantage and in the process disadvantaging them is just bullshit.
I don’t think they’re doing a collab…just flirting.

no they don’t. You just have mention them in your tweet. like for instance haley williams you would have to put: @yelyahwilliams and then whatever you would like to say to her.
also just know that a lot of the time they won’t reply or retweet.

They Can See It If They Click On The Little Thing That Says @ And Then There Username. And RT Means Re Tweet. You Put That If Your Tweeting Something That Somebody Else Wrote.

I made a twitter background on PhotoFiltre, but it’s 1.10 MB and it has to be less than 1.0 MB to put it on twitter….How do I change it? Do I need to make it smaller? PLEASE HELP!!!!

what you can do is resize the picture. if you are using a windows operating system, open it through the picture manager and resize it to say 90% of its original size or which ever size is less than 1MB. hope this helps.

I’m so confused about this thing what am I suppose to do or to write following what exactly is following

You basically just tweet/write about what you’re doing. When I first started I kind of thought of it like the status update thing on Facebook, except.. different.
Twitter is supposedly known as a "micro-blog", so what you tweet about is like what’s going on in your day or what you’re thinking about or whatever, in less than 140 characters.

Following is like "friending" people I guess you could say, except when you follow someone, they dont necessarily have to follow you back unless they want to. When you’re signed in, you can visit anybody’s twitter page and click the +Follow button right underneath their picture, and bam, you’re following them! Then whenever you check back on your twitter homepage, you see status updates from the people you’re following.

Hope that was informative Took me a a day or two to get twitter also, but now it’s so easy and I love it!

Oh, and if you want to tweet a friend or something, and lets say your friend’s twitter username was johndoe, you tweet @johndoe and then write your message afterwards. to send a direct message (one that doesnt show up on your twitter page), you write d johndoe. get it?

How do I have someone tweet a specific phrase from my blog?

I work for a nonprofit and I’m trying to set up something where a visitor can automatically tweet a specific phrase from our blog. For example

"One in two men will get cancer in their lifetime" Tweet this fact now.

Anyone know of any widgets or other ways to do this?

You probably don’t need anything more than this:

"http://twitter.com/home?status=One in two men will get cancer in their lifetime. See thisblog.org for details"

Print your text – heck, you could put it in a graphic – anchor that URL to it, slap a Twitter button on it and label it "Tweet this." If the user isn’t logged in, Twitter will ask him to sign in.

I’m new to twitter and was wondering how to send a message to someone on twitter? or put something so they can see it?

Step 1:
Log into Twitter via the Twitter homepage.
Step 2:
Browse to the Twitter direct messages inbox, or click the "Direct Messages" link in the right sidebar.
Step 3:
Select the intended recipient’s username from the drop-down menu.
Step 4:
Compose your private message. Verify the message is correct, because you can’t change it once you send it. Click "update" to send the direct message.

how to reply to twitter updates on a phone with no internet?

i have a phone (samsung rant) with no internet but i still get twitter updates from the people i follow. sometimes i want to reply to their tweets but i have no idea how to do so.
when twitter texts me their updates do i hit reply and it automatically does "@username here" or does it act like a tweet from me?

You have to stick the @username bit in yourself.

A problem I have with my monitor, can’t seem to find a solution?

I’ve been experiencing some difficulties with my monitor, this has happened in the past, but the issue would be resolved the next day, however this issue has been going on for about a week now. To get into details, I was on my computer and everything was fine, just normal computer issues, but after I opened Google Chrome, and went on Twitter, my monitor’s screen color changed. At first my monitor was bright, filled with colors, but now it’s bright filled with a light-bluish/greenish color, it’s not just my Internet browser but my whole monitor, screen background, etc. they’re filled with the same colors. My description is hard to follow, but let’s just say my monitor is sort of color blind.
Well the issue with this has come back and forth, on one occasion my monitor was perfectly fine, then out of nowhere, I see a flashing color, that would soon overtake my screen, it’s that same bright bluish/greenish color. I do not have another computer, where I could see if it’s the computer itself, or just the monitor. I’m not sure how to fix this.

How long must a Twitter account be inactive before Twitter deletes it?

If you create a Twitter account but don’t use it for awhile, how long will it be before Twitter deletes it? And how often do you have to use the Twitter account in order to keep it active?

Alright I understand how to retweet and everything but why do people put this sign – # in front of a word or phrase in their tweets I don’t understand it. And why do people write "RT @ someones name" what does all of that mean? Information would be great so thanks!!

RT stands for ReTweet. Which is like taking a message someone else posted on Twitter and sending it to someone else. The @ symbol indicates who it’s being forwarded to. And I’m pretty sure the # sign indicates a keyword.

i got a twitter.. how do i use it??
i got friends following me and i am following some people too so i dont have a problem with that..
how do i communicate to poeple?? is it like facebook where you write on there walls??

when you want to tweet or mention someone specific use @ for example: @abc hey! what’s up!

or use dm (direct message) for more privacy. You could also retweet tweets of people you follow. personally I like twitter to tweet random things-_- haha

how do you get justin bieber to follow you on Twitter?

i know this is like probably impossible unless he just happens to see your following him but if you know another way please help me! thanks.

There are 2 ways:
1. Keep on tagging him in posts (eg. Please follow me @justinbieber!!! etc.) You can’t expect to do just one tag and he’ll follow you. Think about all his fans doing the same all the time. So you need to do a lot. Eventually, he’ll see you, maybe reply to you and follow you.

2. This one doesn’t work all the time but it’s worth a try. When you see he is online, go to his profile, unfollow him and then follow him again. This makes you somewhere on the top of the list of his followers so when he checks, you’ll have a better chance of following you!

I’m popular and he’s popular, all the girls love him and all the boys love me (duh!) we’re so made for each other

But, I keep tweeting and facebooking him and he never replies, he says ‘i love you girls’ and sings songs that mean so much, like he’d never kiss and tell, i am his baby and he just wants somebody to love and doesn’t want a girl that’s a eenie meenie lover. That he is paradise, and i really think he is. but, he’s in Las Vegas at the moment. i dont know how to get him to notice im the one for him.

i love him cos he’s popular, sweet, fit, peng, sensitive, caring to all the people who love him and lovely

i’ve really got fever for him, what do i do???
